Stooking Corn in the Dark

“There were one night a gang of us were out running around, and there were a field of corn that Danny McVey had cut, ah nice corn you know, there were about 6 or 7 of us and we started and stooked the field, didn’t do it bad or upside down or anything, stooped it right. And Dan he thought the fairies had been out the night before. There were different things like that. We always had something to do.”
