Laura Nelson – The site where bob & bert’s now stands was once a Newsagents and Fancy good shop owned by the McIntyre’s. With this piece I am interested in exploring the important everyday business of what happens in coffee shop conversations and depicting that process through the traditional communications of the daily newspaper, once sold in this site as McIntyre’s. The antique typewriter is a homage to the old printing press.
