The development of the Victorian Coleraine project commenced in 2009 as part of the 150^th anniversary of Coleraine Town Hall. Funded through Heritage Lottery Fund, ten local schools participated and enjoyed interactive living history sessions, drama workshops with Big Telly Theatre Company and the culmination of their work – a finale event with nearly 300 pupils in Coleraine Diamond, re-enacting a Victorian hiring fair. Through this project, learning resources and a loan box have been produced by Causeway Museum Service, with these schools, which will prove invaluable to schools and community groups in the Borough.
