Eimeir Friers – The space which mc laughlin’s Bakery occupies today was previously a drapery. I wanted to make an interactive box which let the viewer move between the past and the present. Inspired by the bright graphic interior of the bakery, I wanted my box to be equally colourful and decorative. Inside are two gingerbread men, hand felted by artist and friend, Lesley Scott. These unite the space’s bakery/drapery identities.
