Old lazy beds below Lannimore Hill,Black Park,Ballintoy Demense

These lazy beds lie in a field belonging to Maurice Mc Henry.

Maurice’s father bought the farm in the 1930s, Maurice inherited it from him in 1970. The Mc Henrys are sheep farmers and, Maurice does not remember them being used in his lifetime. He was told that barley and oats were probably the last crop to be planted there.
