My Treasure – Trevor Adams
"Irish Society Beaker"
‘I went to the Irish Society School in Coleraine. On the Queen’s Coronation in 1953, The Honourable The Irish Society presented the pupils of the school a Coronation beaker and a mug. I still have this beaker, though there is a chip out of it. Whenever I got it I was very proud to have got one. We got a wee folder with it and inside it said “Schooldays are happy days”. They were for me, I liked Primary School’.
