Handwritten letter, double sided, to Sam Henry. From Margaret McCurdy. Dated 3rd September, 1926. Thanks Sam for his letter re Rathlin Island's history with reference to the old fort. She states the name of the old fort is 'Oun Corn Rund'? and believes it means 'red haired John's fort'. The meaning of Ballygill is 'the town of the stranger'. Forwarded copies of a Rathlin article in the Constitution to John and Dougie Preston, Strathledene, 29a Finmart Street, Greenock. Thanks Sam for the 'little Gaelic book' of songs.
