This Lorry was purchased by Alex Bell in 1954 from the dealer TBF Thompson for the transportation of potatoes as a local agent and potato merchant. His son Lesley would inherit his haulage business and begin to grow his own potatoes on a second farm in Duneane.
This interview with Leslie Bell was recorded on the 29th of April 2022. The interviewer was Michael McConway, Heritage Project Assistant at TIDAL Toome, and the interview was conducted as part of the Lower Bann Voices Project.
