From local cinemas and dance halls, to the theatre and rock n’ roll! Join Coleraine Museum for a new exhibition exploring the rich cultural connections between the United States and Causeway Coast!

In the two and a half centuries since the establishment of the United States of America, this vast country has held a special place in the popular imagination. From the many stories that made their way home from Ulster migrants to American shores, to the thrilling visions of American life and history represented on the silver screen, there has been a local fascination with the USA and its culture for generations.

This new exhibition at Coleraine Town Hall will open on Tuesday 12th May and will explore and celebrate cultural connections that help tell the story of the USA’s long influence on the Causeway Coast, exploring its cultural impact through that quintessentially American phenomenon of Showbusiness!

Exhibition open Tuesdays to Saturdays, 11am to 4pm (excluding bank holidays).

Tours of this exhibition are available for groups on request – to enquire email rachael.marshall@causewaycoastandglens.gov.uk
