As part of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council’s 2021 programme to mark the centenary of the creation of Northern Ireland, Museum Services were privileged to carry out interviews with two residents of the borough born in 1921. Dorothy Cunningham and Edith Gilmore celebrated their 100th birthdays in the centenary year and shared some of their memories with us… 

Edith Gilmore was born in Craigavole, near Swatragh on the 16th April 1921.

Dorothy Cunningham was born in Crindle, near Limavady on the 21st September 1921.
