Tells Sam that he is sorry to hear he has not been well and thinks he overworked himself during the war [World War II]. Tells him his 'bit of depression' will go away. Includes a verse by 'the old Explorer'. Would like Sam to let him know how he is getting on. Writes that his sister has rheumatics. Gives regards from 'all three of us'.
