Typed letter from to Sam Henry. Would like to meet with Sam again. Has had to postpone a tour of Ireland due to the outbreak of the War. Evans talks of living with his now wife. His wife still does some work for B.B.C. States the Midlands Station is almost closed. Writes that Percy Davies in in the army- Q.M.S. with a Welsh Regiment. Father Rope is in the English College, Rome. He has published more articles in The Times and Country Life. Mentions upcoming broadcasts he will be a part of. Asks Sam if he will visit. Evan lives top of the hill near the Bowling Green. 'Replied 2/4/1940'.
