Songs of the People article of tonic sol-fa and words to song titled, 'No. 526 - Neuve Chapelle'. This song was taken down from a street singer, an ex-private of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, Long Commons, Coleraine, on 19th December 1933. It was the favourite song of the Inniskillings or the Irish Rifles, and was commonly sung when leaving the trenches or in the estaminets. It was composed by a sergeant of the 27th Division, which included the Inniskillings and Rifles, and it sings to the tune of "The Rambling Irishman."
