Songs of the People article of a tonic sol-fa notation and words to song titled, 'No. 558 - The Wreck of the Enterprise'. Words and air taken down from Alexander Horner, sen., of Moycraig Hamilton, Mosside, formerly of Carnbore, Liscolman. He learnt the song from his father, Alexander Horner, who learnt it from his father John Horner, who was a fisherman at Portballintrae, and must have learnt the song about the time it was composed i.e. March 1837.
