Small booklet pasted to paper titled, 'Old Ellen of the Hills. Pastoral by S. Henry, Coleraine'. Two short extracts cut from a newspaper and written by Sam Henry re Ellen M'Laughlin, formerly of Croghan, Macosquin and The White Gate, Balteagh, who died 26th December, 1920. The extracts also contain two verses re Ellen. Within the booklet is a poem by Sam re Old Ellen and refers to her receiving her pension. An photograph of Ellen is pasted to the front cover; a landscape photograph of Ellen's cottage is pasted to the inside and another photograph pasted to the last page of Ellen. All photographs are original.
