The Old Net a watercolour by Joseph Carey painted to illustrate the Ballycastle legend of the net. The Old Net was a ballad of Rathlin with words by Samuel K. Cowan and music by Elizabeth Gillmour. The poem appears in the book 'Idylls of Ireland' by Samuel K. Cowan (Marcus Ward & Co. Belfast and London, 1896). Courtesy of Ballycastle Museum.
