Thinks Olive [Sam's daughter] is wise to keep music, shorthand and English. Writes that his mother is now well after her operation. Includes two verses of song 'The Cuckoo's Call' from Mary Magill. His brother thought Sam's photographs of Ballygawley were good. Writes that he shares his room with a Roman Catholic which 'will keep my Protestantism up to the mark'. Gives regards to Mrs Henry and Hetty, the Henry's maid.
