Likes to keep an interest in Coleraine by reading the 'Chronicle' now and again which is sent to them. Mentions the Magee Cup. Reminisces about people he has met and places he has been. Writes of ships damaged during the war held in the dry dock. Mentions a solicitor Tom Taggart of Ballymoney who sang 'The Place where the Old Ass died'. They still have the photo of their children in the donkey cart which Sam took.
