Page 1 of 3 of handwritten letter (green ink) on lined paper to Sam Henry. Thanks Sam for his welcome letter and enclosures. Wishes to obtain a 'Songs of the People' in book form or loose leaf. Asks Sam how much it would cost for a collection of the songs and is surprised they are not in book form such as that of Herbert Hughes. Offers help to publish the Sam's collection of songs. Writes of the reluctance of papers to publish his own ballads. States that he is also the owner of a 'Chop House' on Broadway in New York. He was approached by the Decca Record Company to make ballads for them. One of which was titled 'By Kells Water' and informs Sam that his version was titled 'Kells waterside'.
