Page 1 of 2 of handwritten letter to 'Dear Mother in law' [Mrs R K Hezlet]. Writes of his medical training in Leeds and Catterick. Reminises of his time spent with Katherine whilst on leave. Complains of the postal service and mail not being received. He was pleased with the food they got on the boat. Mentions a child - Richard - who is learning to talk. He wonders how the 'Irish members of the family' are, particularly Arthur and notes he is 'impressed by his branch of the services'.
