Page 1 of 2 of a handwritten letter (double sided) to Mr Henry. Writes of seeing Sam's collection amongst papers left by the late Rev. W Pitchford. He would be happy to purchase copies from the collection. He too collects songs and does so in England and his native area of Scotland. Collects similar songs to Sam but mostly with different words and tunes. Sam has given permission for a song to be published in the 'English Folk Dance and Song Society' journal. Talks of changing the songs from sol-fa notation to staff notation. He presents folk songs on the radio and will bear Sam's fees for use of his songs in mind if using them. Mentions folk songs 'Not the Swan on the Lake' and 'The Blackbird'.
