O’Neill’s Ice Cream Cart
His family ran an ice cream business from their home, 16 Rodden Foot, Ballymoney, from the 1930s to the late 1950s. Billy and his brothers all helped sell ice cream from about the age of 12 after school and at the weekends. This photo shows his elder brother Hugh on an Italian-made horse drawn cart bought from Johnny DeVito. The 'D' for DeVito can be seen at the top. Hugh later emigrated to England.
