One of 10 pages of handwritten transcription of the translation of French marine archive extracts - the log entries for the ship 'Le Prince de Conty' from 24.8.1746 until 10.10.1746, when it transported Bonnie Prince Charlie from Scotland to France, following months in hiding after the defeat at Culloden. The journey starts and ends in Brittany. Talks of: being chased and fleeing other ships; seizing a ship with English Colours off the coast of Scotland and taking prisoners; several landing parties which returned with Scottish gentlemen - 'friends of the Prince', and cows. Reports the Prince eventually brought on board 30th September and then sailed for France, landing Prince at Roscoff with a 21 gun salute to cheer him.
