Notes headed "The Past". Among other things it mentions the foundation of Armagh in 300B.C. and of Dithorba who drew out the plan of Armagh with her brooch. The Armagh Light Infantry took the French colours in 1798, the only time an enemy flag was taken in this country. Sam also states that the Bann once flowed the other way.
