Mrs Matilda (Tilda) Thorpe lived at Altibrian, Articlave. Her son, Joe, a fiddler, was blinded in a quarry incident. Mrs Thorpe contributed ‘Glenrannel’s Plains’ to the ‘Songs of the People’ series.
