Letter in response to an enquiry from Sam about the Tredennick coat of arms. The writer mentions the Emerson-Tennent family on which he has practically no information but says that he can provide a photo of Sir James. The letter is stamped "Ulster's Office". Sam has added a handwritten note across the top of the letter which seems to be unconnected. It seems to be an inscription on a gift or taken from an address to Mr. David MacMillan, Superintendent of the Sabbath School at 1st Garvagh Presbyterian Church.
