This photo was taken in 1963 to celebrate the retirement of Mr. Maxie Ellis who, for fifty years, had delivered bread from the Inglis headquarters in Belfast to the Coleraine depot. The depot was located between Ballycastle Road and James Street. Standing L-R Herbie Culbertson, James Rainey, Hugh Collins, Alan Freeman, Willie O’Hagan, Eddie Hamilton (Manager), Albert Spence, Jack Torrens, Albert Hamilton, Dicky Simpson. Front row Bobbie McCurry, Henry Kirkpatrick, Maxie Ellis, Uel Ussher, Winston Lyle, Sammy O’Connor. When Craigs of the Model Bakery in New Row retired from business, Inglis took over their 4 bread vans and employed the drivers.
