Handwritten letter (folded over and written on all sides) to 'My dear Henry'. Glad they were able to introduce Sam to Iuin? They sang Iuin's? verses to Sam whilst in Ireland. Writes of Iuin? sleeping in a cave for two nights. Mentions Dr Smith, minister of the Free Church. Sends sympathies to Sam for his losses during the war and to his brother. Writes of the death of Mr Wilson whom he had met. Writes of being against Catherwood's marriage. Enjoyed reading Sam's books.
