Handwritten letter (double sided) to Mr Henry. Sends their good wishes for Christmas and the New Year. Keen for the war [World War II] to be over. Had to evacuate from Jersey as the Germans took over the Channel Islands. Refers to the 'Jerry' bombing the ship they were on at Guernsey but missed. Listens to Sam's broadcasts on the radio. Writes of his trouble with rheumatism. Mentions that Mrs Macfarlane had passed away and is missed by her daughter, Mrs Robertson of Garvagh. Hopes to visit Ulster next year.
