Dunaverney Flesh Hook. Inscribed beneath the illustration: 'Original size/Unique Irish Bronze Instrument/found in a bog near Ballymoney, County of Antrim 1829; originally in the possession of/The Lord Bishop of Down & Connor and Dromore/now in the cabinet of James Carruthers, Glencregagh, County Down/A piece of oak inlaid with thin plates of brass, said to be found inside the tube of the above instrument which/is in three parts. The Ravens, Swans and Ducks are connected to wire pins which terminate with rings and move freely in the tube.'
