Crocheted bear depicting a nurse wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the front line
The bear in this image is presented to Museum Services by Georgie Dee, who crocheted it, to depict the current situation facing nurses who have to wear Personal protective equipment (PPE). In many hospitals this is not readily available to all staff, as can be depicted by the reused apron worn by the bear. The protective mask worn, also shows the need for nurses to ideally wear a mask, to offer them some protection during this Covid 19 pandemic. There is an army of volunteers who are busy making scrubs and masks, for nurses and care home staff.
