Iron crane for kitchen. The crane was an essential part of the kitchen fireplace. From it hung at various times the iron kette, the three-legged pots and the griddle. It could be swung away from the fireplace and this was very convenient for the housewife when she had to lift off a heavy pot of steaming potatoes. This was made by the local blacksmith, probably William Parker, Sen. Courtesy of Ballycastle Museum.
