Copy of a typed letter to Mr Allaway re lectures to troops. Sam is not happy with the fees for lectures he did in Derry and a lecture in Ballymena on 31st August. Sam brought a vocalist and mouth organist from Coleraine, a vocalist from Kilrea and a 'Ballymena lady' who also sang, who all participated in the lecture. He emphasises the time that is needed to prepare the lectures and needs to be paid.
