Benmore chair - designed and made by Clarke, manager of the former Irish Home Industries Workshop (An Tuirne beas) Ballycastle. The chair, of Ashwood, is made without nails or screws. Benmore is the Gaelic for Fair Head. The chair possibly gets its name from the fact that Stephen Clarke was born under the shadow of Fairhead. Courtesy of Ballycastle Museum.
