Carbon copy of a typed letter, unsigned, sent to Mr Mozart Allan, Music Publisher, 84 Carlton Place, Glasgow C. 5. 'From Folk Song Correspondence' handwritten in pencil at top of page. Sam writes to convince the recipient to publish his collection of songs. Writing re material for the Percy French 'Forces Programme' of which Sam is writing a script on 6 of French's songs. Writes that his collection of songs have been presented to the libraries in Washington, Dublin and Belfast and the BBC purchased 65 airs for orchestration only. Sam had broadcast on 40 occasions in Belfast and Dublin and overseas wavelength; he had lectured about 300 times-signing the songs and playing the fiddle as accompaniment; contributed to the Belfast Telegraph and other papers. Sam collected 'The Ould Lammas Fair' which was played at the Albert Hall, London.
