Article cut out from newspaper. Titled, "Old Age Pension Prosecution. Priest Declines to Give Evidence. Are Baptismal Registers Privileged?" Article re prosecution of Francis Hagan of Killeenan. Charged by Samuel Henry, Officer of Customs and Excise, Cookstown, of obtaining a pension by fraud and misinterpretation. Sam Henry had received an application for pension from Mr Hagan on 5th October, 1908. Evidence showed that Mr Hagan had falsified his date of birth in order to receive his pension.
