Author of letter is reporting back on bundle of folk songs sent to him by Sam - picked those which appealed to him most to comment on. His opinion is on tunes/airs rather than the words - dealing with the songs by numerical id rather than name, he makes suggestions and includes both tonic sol-fa and staff notation to illustrate points. Dated 1.2.1927.
