Patrick Agnew, under lease from the MacDonnells, constructed a Scottish style castle at Kilwaughter, near Larne. This was later absorbed into a spectacular new castle designed by John Nash in 1807. The estate was seized by American Troops during WWII. Courtesy of Larne Museum.
