Handwritten letter to Thos [Thomas] Upington, Esq., Secretary to the Lord Chancellor. Written statement in which the words 'as much as possible' are omitted. Re avoidance of sitting in Petty Sessions in County Londonderry with his uncle Robert Knox or brother in law Marcus Gage. Note on back of letter which states he re wrote the statement with the scored out words removed. Note is dated 30th September, 1872.
