One of 7 pages, on 11 sides, of handwritten letter, information re a branch of Arthurs in America (author's grandparents were Arthurs) and answers to a questionnaire Sam has provided [questions not included here]. This page is a copy of 2 letters written in 1854 to her grandmother, Mrs Mary Ann Arthur, in Wisconsin - one from her husband James, in England on business, and one from a William Johnston, saying James was returning on board the City of Glasgow ship which has now been lost at sea.
