From April to June, and in September, Ballycastle Museum is opened through the generosity of the Friends of Ballycastle Museum who volunteer their time.

With the support of The National Lottery Heritage Fund, we have been developing plans for the restoration, expansion and refurbishment of Ballycastle Museum. Pending the success of the next round of grant funding, we anticipate 2025 to be the last year of the museum in its current form. At the end of this season the doors will close, to be re-opened again in 2027 unveiling a new, larger museum venue including temporary exhibition and workshop space, greatly improving this unique asset in the town.

Ongoing site investigations and survey work for the redevelopment project may interrupt the scheduled opening times this season. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Please contact museums@causewaycoastandglens.gov.uk before arranging your visit to avoid disappointment.
