Sam Henry: Culture Connects

5 February – 18 April @ Ballymoney Museum

Sam Henry, born in Coleraine in 1878, is best known as a Folklorist and recognised for his ‘Songs of the People’ series that ran in the Northern Constitution newspaper. Sam’s ability to connect with all sorts of people has created a fascinating and insightful archive that stretches far beyond his song collection. It captures people and places in the Causeway Coast and Glens area and beyond.
Explore more of Sam’s collection through this exhibition and discover the work that local community groups, from across the Borough, have been inspired to create through hands on access to the archive.
This exhibition is part of the Connecting with the Past, Collecting for the Future project funded by the Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund administrated by the Museums Association.
